Services has been taking shape over the past few months. Many of
the names are well known to UK, while others come to us with outside
perspective. Here's a quick summary of the team as it currently
stands...

Services: P. Shane Winstead (moves from pharmacist specialist into new
role)
Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services: Dan Grantz (moves from
Assistant Director for KY Clinic Pharmacy)
Director of Medication Safety and Quality Improvement: Kimberley Hite
(moves from Associate Director of Pharmacy Services)
Director of Pharmacy for Good Samaritan Hospital: Phil Lakarosky
(longtime Director of Pharmacy at GSH)
Director of Business Development and Operations: Philip Almeter
(recently came to UK from the University of Virginia)
Director of Professional Practice Development: Craig Martin (moves from
pharmacist specialist into new role)
Assistant Director for Staff Development: Becky Reagan
(moves from Associate Director of Pharmacy)
Assistant Director of Retail Pharmacy Services: Debbie Duckworth (comes
to UK from Medicine Shoppe in Harrodsburg, KY)
Assistant Director of Financial Services: Priya Pasala (maintains
previous position)
Assistant Director for Inpatient Pharmacy Services: Jeff
Carrico (moves from Assistant Director for Investigational Drug Service)

UKHealthCare Pharmacy
Services to offer PGY2 Residency in Medication Use Safety
Beginning July 1, 2012, UK HealthCare Pharmacy Services will add to its
long list of pharmacy residency offerings with a PGY2 residency in
Medication Use Policy. Dr. Kimberley Hite will serve as the founding
director of this program, and Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud has accepted an offer to
become the first resident in the program. A list of Goals and Objectives
for all residencies, including the PGY2 residency in Medication Use

Clinic pharmacy extended
hours
Effective Jan. 17th, the Kentucky Clinic
pharmacy will extend weekday and weekend hours. These new hours will
widen service
access for patients and employees for filling prescriptions and/or
speaking with the pharmacy staff. This is a major service
enhancement. Please encourage use of these facilities. New weekday hours
are Monday - Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Weekends: Saturday: 9 a.m.
- 5 p.m. and Sunday: 1 - 5 p.m.
